What If I Take an Overdose of Zyrtec-D?

People who take too much Zyrtec-D may have overdose symptoms that include:
 
  • Drowsiness
  • A rapid heart rate (tachycardia)
  • Headaches
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Sweating
  • Thirst
  • Feelings of a forcefully or rapidly beating heart (known as heart palpitations)
  • Muscle weakness or tension
  • Anxiety
  • Restlessness or insomnia
  • Delusions, hallucinations, or psychotic behavior
  • An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmias)
  • Seizures
  • Coma.
     
If you happen to overdose on Zyrtec-D, seek immediate medical attention.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Zyrtec-D?

If you forget to take your Zyrtec-D dose, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Zyrtec-D comes in one strength -- Zyrtec-D 12 Hour tablets, with 5 mg of cetirizine and 120 mg of pseudoephedrine sulfate per tablet.
