Sudafed Uses

Off-Label Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Sudafed for something other than the approved uses mentioned above (this would be known as an "off-label" use). Off-label uses of the medicine include the treatment of the following conditions:
 
  • Fluid buildup in the ear (such as with an ear infection)
  • A painful, prolonged erection of the penis (priapism)
  • Involuntary leakage of urine during various activities such as laughing or coughing (known as stress urinary incontinence).
