Singular® is used to prevent asthma attacks (including those brought on by exercise) and an itchy, stuffy, runny nose that is the result of allergies. It blocks leukotriene receptors, which helps minimize or prevent symptoms. The medication -- which is available by prescription -- comes in various forms, including tablets, granules, and chewable tablets. Side effects can include tooth pain, stomach pain, and the flu.
