Singulair 4 mg

 Singulair® (montelukast sodium) is a medicine that is licensed to treat asthma and nasal allergy symptoms, such as itchy, stuffy, irritated, or runny nose.
 
It is available by prescription only and comes in different forms and strengths, including:
 
  • Singulair 4 mg chewable tablets
  • Singulair 5 mg chewable tablets
  • Singulair 10 mg tablets
  • Singulair oral granule packets (containing 4 mg per packet).

The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents ages 15 and older is Singulair 10 mg once a day. For children 6 to 14 years old, the recommended dose is 5 mg once daily. The recommended dose for young children ages 2 to 5 is Singulair 4 mg daily (either as a chewable tablet or packet of oral granules). For children 6 to 23 months old, the recommended dose is one packet of Singulair oral granules (4 mg), taken once daily.
