Side Effects of Rhinocort Aqua

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Rhinocort Aqua. However, not everyone who takes the drug will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of Rhinocort Aqua include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Nosebleeds
  • Sore throat
  • Wheezing or other asthma-like breathing problems.

Drug Interactions

Rhinocort Aqua can potentially interact with a few other medications (see Rhinocort Aqua Drug Interactions).
 

What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider Before Taking Rhinocort Aqua?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this medicine if you have:
 
  • Not had chickenpox or the measles (and have not been vaccinated against them)
  • Tuberculosis, herpes, or any other infections
  • Recently had nasal surgery
  • Sores or injury to the inside of your nose
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.
     
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
 
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
