Rhinocort Aqua 32 mcg Nasal Spray

Rhinocort Aqua® (budesonide nasal spray) is an allergy medication often used to treat nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing. It is approved for use in both adults and children ages six and older.
 
The medicine is available by prescription and only comes in one strength -- Rhinocort Aqua 32 mcg nasal spray (containing 120 sprays in each bottle, with 32 mcg of medication in each spray).
 
The recommended starting dose for treating nasal allergies in adults and children six years and older is one spray in each nostril once daily (two sprays total). If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your dosage. The maximum Rhinocort Aqua dosage for adults and children ages 12 and older is four sprays in each nostril once daily (eight sprays total). For children ages 6 to 11, the maximum dose is two sprays per nostril once daily.
