Qnasl Side Effects
During clinical studies on Qnasl, the most common side effects were nosebleeds, nasal discomfort, and headaches. These studies also showed that most people who use this medicine will generally tolerate it well, with a majority of people not experiencing any problems. However, call your healthcare provider immediately if you develop potentially serious problems, such as changes in vision, severe nosebleeds, or wheezing.
Just like any medicine, Qnasl™ (beclomethasone nasal aerosol) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Qnasl. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list with you.)
Qnasl has been studied extensively in clinical trials. In these studies, the side effects that occurred in a group of people using Qnasl were documented and compared to those that were reported in another group using a similar product that did not contain any active ingredients (a placebo). As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the group not using the placebo.
In these studies, the most common Qnasl side effects included:
- Nosebleed -- in up to 11 percent of people
- Nasal discomfort -- up to 5.2 percent
- Headache -- up to 2.3 percent.
