Patanol® (
olopatadine ophthalmic solution) is an eyedrop approved for treating
allergy symptoms that affect the eyes (such as eye itching or redness). Because very little of the medication actually reaches the bloodstream, significant drug interactions with Patanol are not expected. Patanol is unlikely to affect other medications, and other medications are unlikely to affect Patanol.
However, currently unknown interactions with Patanol may be discovered at a later date. Therefore, it is always a good idea to include Patanol in your list of medications when checking for interactions. Also, make sure to check with your healthcare provider about any possible drug interactions that may apply to your particular situation.
