Oxymetazoline nasal spray is used to treat nasal congestion caused by the common cold, allergies, or sinus problems. This over-the-counter medication should not be used for more than three days in a row, as prolonged use may worsen congestion. Before using this nasal spray, talk to your doctor about any other medications you are taking and any medical conditions you may have.
What Is Oxymetazoline Nasal Spray?Oxymetazoline nasal spray (Afrin®, Nostrilla®, Sudafed OM™, and many others) is a non-prescription medication used to temporarily relieve nasal congestion due to the common cold, allergies, or sinus infections or inflammation.
