Were you looking for information about Nasonex? Nasanex is a common misspelling of Nasonex.
Nasonex® (mometasone nasal spray), a steroid that is available by prescription, is commonly used to treat nasal allergies (known medically as allergic rhinitis) and nasal polyps. An example of nasal allergies is hay fever. As part of a class of drugs known as corticosteroids, Nasonex works by decreasing inflammation.
This medicine is not suitable for everyone. A few of the conditions you should let your healthcare provider know about before taking Nasonex include tuberculosis, glaucoma, or cataracts, and any allergies you may have. Side effects can include sore throat, headaches, and nosebleeds.
(Click Nasonex for more information on how this drug works, other existing medical conditions you should tell your healthcare provider about, and general dosing guidelines. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
