Although most people do not experience problems while using hydrocodone polistirex/chlorpheniramine polistirex, side effects are possible. Common ones include dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea. Serious problems have also been known to occur with this medication. Serious Hydrocodone Polistirex/Chlorpheniramine Polistirex Side EffectsSome possible side effects with hydrocodone polistirex/chlorpheniramine polistirex are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
- Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
- An unexplained rash
- Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
- Wheezing or difficulty breathing
- Difficulty swallowing
- Difficulty breathing, including shallow or slow breaths
- Severe constipation
- Severe drowsiness
- Difficulty urinating
- Changes in mood, including feeling depressed or unusually pleasant
- Feeling very anxious or fearful
- The urge to take more of this medicine than prescribed or for a nonmedical purpose.
