Elestat Drug Interactions

Elestat® (epinastine ophthalmic solution) is a prescription medication approved for preventing itchy eyes due to eye allergies (known medically as allergic conjunctivitis). Elestat is an eye drop, and little of the medication actually reaches the bloodstream (and, therefore, the rest of the body). As a result, significant drug interactions with Elestat are not expected. This means that Elestat is unlikely to affect other medications, and other medications are unlikely to affect Elestat.

It is possible that there may be drug interactions that are currently unknown but that may be discovered at a later date. Therefore, it is always a good idea to include Elestat in your list of medications when checking for any interactions. Also, be sure to check with your healthcare provider about any possible interactions that may apply to your particular situation.
