Generic for Claritin (Cont.)

Strengths of Generic Claritin

All currently available Claritin products (except Children's Claritin chewable tablets and Claritin 12-Hour RediTabs®) have "generic" versions available. The following products are available in generic form:
 
  • Loratadine syrup -- contains 5 mg of Claritin per teaspoonful (per 5 mL)
  • Loratadine 10 mg orally disintegrating tablets
  • Loratadine 10 mg tablets.
     
Many of the makers of generic Claritin products have given names other than loratadine to their products. However, you can easily check if a product contains generic Claritin by looking for loratadine in the active ingredients section of the package label.
