Claritin-D® is an over-the-counter medication that is used for treating nasal allergy symptoms and nasal congestion due to the common cold. The combination drug, which consists of an antihistamine and decongestant, comes in tablet form and is available in 12-hour and 24-hour formulas. Most people tolerate Claritin-D well, but potential side effects may include drowsiness, nervousness, and insomnia.
