Claritin-D® is an over-the-counter medication that is used for treating nasal allergy symptoms, such as itchy or watery eyes, sneezing, and runny nose. It can also be used to relieve nasal congestion due to the common cold. The combination drug, which consists of an antihistamine and decongestant, is available in 12-hour and 24-hour tablets. Possible side effects of Claritin-D include insomnia, dry mouth, and nervousness.
