An Overview of Clarinex Drug Interactions

Several medicines can potentially interact with Clarinex® (desloratadine). Some possible Clarinex drug interactions can include:
 
  • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
  • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®, ERYC®, Erythrocin®, E.E.S.®).
     
Taking either of these drugs and Clarinex together may cause your body to metabolize the medicines differently than intended. This can result in an increased amount of Clarinex in your body. If you are taking any of these medications along with Clarinex, your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely or make necessary dosing adjustments.
