Clarinex-D Precautions and Warnings

Before you consider taking the drug, there are Clarinex-D precautions and warnings that you should be aware of. For example, you should tell your healthcare provider about any allergies you may have to Clarinex-D or adrenergic medicines, as well as conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and glaucoma. Other Clarinex-D precautions and warnings include possible interactions with other medicines and potential harm to an unborn child.

 

What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Clarinex-D® (desloratadine and pseudoephedrine) if you have:
 
Let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Are pregnant or are thinking about becoming pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Have any allergies, including allergies to Clarinex-D, Clarinex®, Sudafed®, Claritin®, or adrenergic medicines.
     
Also, tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
 
Finally, make sure to contact your healthcare provider or 911 immediately if you experience any difficulty breathing or swallowing.
