Generic Beconase

The patents for Beconase have already expired, meaning that other drug companies can manufacture generic Beconase products if they choose to do so. At this time, however, no companies have chosen to produce a generic version of the nasal spray. Therefore, it is difficult to determine if generic Beconase will ever be available.

Generic Beconase: An Overview

Beconase® AQ (beclomethasone nasal spray) is a prescription nasal spray used to treat allergic and non-allergic nasal symptoms and to prevent nasal polyps from returning after surgical removal. It belongs to a group of medications known as corticosteroids (or simply "steroids," for short).

Beconase AQ is made by GlaxoSmithKline. Currently, there are no generic versions of Beconase AQ available.

When Will Generic Beconase Be Available?

The patents for Beconase AQ have already expired. This means that manufacturers could make generic versions of the drug if they choose to do so. However, no one has decided to make generic Beconase AQ, and it is not known when (or if) generic versions may become available.

What About Vancenase AQ?

Vancenase® AQ was a similar nasal spray that also contained beclomethasone. It was made by a different company, who chose to stop making it. There are no generic versions of Vancenase AQ available either.
