Alrex® (loteprednol etabonate) is a prescription eye drop approved for treating eye
allergies (known medically as allergic conjunctivitis). Because very little of the medication actually reaches the bloodstream (and, therefore, the rest of the body), significant drug interactions with Alrex are not expected. Alrex is unlikely to affect other medications, and other medications are unlikely to affect Alrex.
It is probably a good idea to check with your healthcare provider before using any other eye drops with Alrex.
It is possible that there may be drug interactions that are currently unknown but that may be discovered at a later date. Therefore, it is always a good idea to include Alrex in your list of medications when checking for any interactions. Also, be sure to check with your healthcare provider about any possible interactions that may apply to your particular situation.
