Zetonna Medication Information
If you suffer from seasonal or year-round (perennial) allergies, your healthcare provider may recommend a medication called ZetonnaTM (ciclesonide). This prescription nasal spray is used once daily to help relieve allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and nasal itching.
Zetonna is a type of steroid, and works by affecting how the immune system reacts to certain substances like pollen. It is important to not use large amounts of this nasal spray for extended periods, as doing so may cause the body to stop making its own natural steroids.
To help reduce potential complications with Zetonna, make sure your healthcare provider has a current list of any other medications you are taking, as well as up-to-date information on your medical history. Also, let him or her know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
