Lastacaft Medication Information

LastacaftTM (alcaftadine) is available only by prescription and is approved for treating certain eye allergy symptoms. This medicine is not appropriate for everyone; your healthcare provider needs complete information on your medical history and what medications you are taking before prescribing Lastacaft.

Although many people do not have any problems while using this product, side effects can occur and may include eye redness, stinging, and burning. Fortunately, if negative reactions do occur, they tend to be mild and easily treated.

Lastacaft comes in the form of an eye drop and is taken once daily. If you wear contact lenses, make sure to take them out before using this medication, and wait at least 10 minutes before putting them back in.
