Karbinal ER Medication Information
KarbinalTM ER (carbinoxamine extended-release oral suspension) is a medicine approved to treat a wide variety of allergic conditions, such as eye allergies, skin allergies, and seasonal allergies. This prescription drug comes as a liquid, and is approved for use in adults and children as young as two years old. It is typically taken twice daily, with 12 hours between doses.
Although the drug is generally well tolerated, it is not suitable for everyone. Before using Karbinal ER, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on your medical history and a list of your current medications. In particular, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you have problems such as asthma or high blood pressure.
Although most people tolerate Karbinal ER well, it is possible to develop side effects with this drug. Some of the most common reactions include dizziness, sleepiness, and coordination problems.
