Elestat Eyedrops

Elestat® (epinastine ophthalmic solution) is often prescribed to prevent eye allergy symptoms. In particular, this prescription drug is approved for preventing eye itching related to allergies. Elestat is used as an eyedrop, typically twice a day for each eye.

It is typically recommended to use Elestat throughout allergy season, even on days that you do not experience symptoms. The most common side effects of the eyedrops include eye redness, sore throat, and tiny bumps on the inner surface of the eyelid (folliculosis).
