Dymista Drug Information
Adults and children as young as 12 years old may receive DymistaTM (azelastine/fluticasone nasal spray) to help relieve seasonal allergy symptoms. This prescription product is specifically designed to treat nasal symptoms, such as nasal itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. However, before using Dymista, your healthcare provider needs information on your medical history and a current list of all drugs, vitamins, and supplements you are taking.
While this medicine may be effective for many people, it is not appropriate for everyone. People who have certain medical conditions, such as tuberculosis, cataracts, or glaucoma, may not be able to safely use this drug. Also, Dymista may react with a few other medications and substances.
Available as a nasal spray, Dymista is used in each nostril twice daily. Although most people tolerate this drug well, side effects may occur and can include nosebleeds, headaches, and a distorted sense of taste.
