Generic Allegra

Brand-name Allegra has come off patent, and generic versions of the drug are currently available in three strengths. At this time, generic Allegra is made by four companies, including Mylan Pharmaceuticals and Prasco Laboratories.

An Introduction to Generic Allegra

Allegra® (fexofenadine hydrochloride) is prescribed to treat several conditions. These Allegra uses include:
 
Allegra is manufactured by sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals. Allegra has come off patent, making it available as a generic drug.
 

Generic Strengths

Generic Allegra is manufactured by a few companies and sold as Fexofenadine Hydrochloride tablets. They are available in the following strengths.
 
  • Fexofenadine Hydrochloride tablets 30 mg.
  • Fexofenadine Hydrochloride tablets 60 mg
  • Fexofenadine Hydrochloride tablets 180 mg.

 

At this time, generic Allegra oral suspension (liquid) and generic Allegra ODT (orally disintegrating tablets) are not available.
